Transforming Photos into Fine Art—as Paintings or Illustrations
PHOTO PAINTINGS & ILLUSTRATIONS
Each photo painting or illustration starts off with a photo…either yours or ours. You can select one from this site or provide a high-resolution photo (a 10-15MB file preferably).
Evelyn Salvador then transforms the image into art:
1.She first retouches the photo to the best it can be in terms of focal point and cropping, color, hue and saturation, brightness and contrast, sharpness, and other enhancements on the whole photo as well as individual portions thereof to create an artistic composition and balance.
2.She then performs image manipulation by correcting or replacing backgrounds and/or removing unwanted objects that interfere with the art focus (as needed).
3.From there Evelyn transforms the corrected photo into a Photo Painting (by applying various filters and effects) or Illustration (by totally redrawing it into distinguishable line art). [The illustration process is a lot more time-consuming and therefore costs more.]
Which to select? It’s really a matter of taste. Here’s an example of the painting versus illustration difference.
WHOLLY CREATED ART FROM SCRATCH
Alternatively, Evelyn can create a whole artistic rendering from scratch from a number of different images altogether, such as she did with the photo painting to the right. >>
ARTISTIC TECHNIQUES & FRAMING
Various artistic effects and photo filters are applied to achieve the best look for your final art piece. You will receive a number of comps for your selection before printing on canvas. The options are many and all achieve different effects. See: Artistic Styles & Options and Printed Frame Choices
